Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. now has flu vaccinations available in all Winn-Dixie in-store pharmacies to help prepare guests for the upcoming flu season. Guests will receive the flu vaccine for the discounted rate of $24.99 when purchased using their Winn-Dixie Customer Reward Card.
“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that people get a flu vaccine as soon as it becomes available in their community,” said John Fegan, VP of pharmacy for Winn-Dixie in a press release. “With the flu season approaching, our skilled and knowledgeable pharmacists are now able to offer guests quick and easy options to receive the flu vaccine while grocery shopping—either on-the-go or by appointment. This is one of many benefits people will find at their neighborhood Winn-Dixie.”
Guests can secure a flu shot in any Winn-Dixie in-store pharmacy on a “walk-in” basis or can schedule an appointment online at www.winndixie.com/pharmacy.
Winn-Dixie pharmacies will offer a regular flu shot approved for people ages 6 months and older and a high-dose flu shot approved for people 65 and older. Certain age restrictions may apply in some states regarding pharmacist administration of vaccinations. Guests are encouraged to see their neighborhood Winn-Dixie pharmacist for details.
Winn-Dixie offers guests a wealth of health benefits and services including daily free blood pressure checks, fast and easy prescription refills and/or transfers, convenient refills through the Ready Refill program, low-cost health screenings such as cholesterol or diabetes, and female and male wellness screenings.
