Former Dr Pepper executive Curt Woods joined Buxton in early 2012 as chief customer officer, initially leading “all customer-facing teams” for the Fort Worth, Texas-based company that provides customer analytics for the retail industry.

Woods was formerly SVP of Dr Pepper Snapple, with responsibility for more than $4.7 billion in sales for brands such as Motts, Hawaiian Punch and Snapple.

“Curt’s arrival signifies our strong commitment to bringing the maximum experience to our clients,” said Charles Wetzel, president and CEO of Buxton. “We are in a high- growth mode at Buxton where we need strong leadership to successfully implement our customer-centric strategy, and Curt will be an integral part of the strategy and taking advantage of the market opportunities ahead. We are fortunate to have someone of Curt’s caliber and experience step into this new leadership position.”

According to Woods, “The solutions Buxton is able to offer its client base are invaluable, and the main goal is to make sure our clients are getting the maximum benefit from our solutions.”

For the last two decades, Woods has held a number of leadership positions within the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, where he delivered steady growth in retail sales and focused on strategic business planning.

Since 1994, Buxton has been the industry leader in customer analytics for the retail industry. Its focus now includes healthcare organizations, consumer packaged goods manufacturers and city governments. Buxton draws from its individual- and household- level data to determine lifestyles and buying habits to clearly identify an organization’s best customers and find more like them anywhere in the U.S. Buxton’s roster of more than 1,900 clients includes Applebee’s, Lowe’s, Weight Watchers, Sally Beauty and Pei Wei.
