Groups Join Forces for Big Convention

The American Meat Institute, Food Marketing Institute (FMI), United Fresh Produce Association and National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) are partnering on four shows, to be co-located in Dallas, Texas, on April 30-May 3, with 1,200 exhibitors and 1 million s.f. of the latest food technology and trends on display.

The American Meat Institute’s International Meat, Poultry & Seafood Industry Convention and Exposition will boast a lineup of events and exhibitors May 2-3.

FMI’s premier show for the food retail industry will emphasize understanding how consumers drive business. The food retail show, FMI2012, will bring the world’s top retailers and wholesalers together to learn the latest for expanding market reach and meeting the demands of busy consumers.

United Fresh 2012, which will kick off the convention with an opening party April 30, will host a showcase of customized programs for each segment of the produce industry.

The U.S. Food Showcase, sponsored by NASDA and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), includes small and medium-sized food companies aiming to expand their export horizons.

On Thursday morning, May 3, attendees of the four partner shows will come together for a general session to kick off the final day of the show.
