AG New England Golf Tourney Raises $31K For Charity
Associated Grocers of New England held the 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Share Our Strength® and the New Hampshire Food Bank. Participating in the tournament were retailers, associates and supporting brokers, vendors and manufacturers. In the tournament’s four-year history, it has raised more than $100,000 to benefit charitable organizations with goals of feeding the hungry.
The golf classic was held at the Plausawa Valley Country Club, immediately adjacent to the distribution center. Vendors sponsored foursomes, tees and greens, and the tournament also included longest-drive, closest-to-the-pin and putting contests.
“We are pleased to once again support Share Our Strength and this year also the New Hampshire Food Bank. In addition to contributing $30,000 to these two organizations, an additional $1,000 contribution was made to the New Hampshire Food Bank by Reverse Solutions,” said AG New England President and CEO Mike Bourgoine.
