Deep Roots To Break Ground On New Greensboro, N.C., Store

After numerous delays, Deep Roots Market is planning to break ground on a new store in downtown Greensboro, N.C.
The Business Journal reports that the ground-breaking ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, for the 10,600-s.f. store on North Eugene Street. Greensboro Mayor Robbie Perkins, Deep Roots Market GM Joel Landau and other store officials will be present.
The new Deep Roots store will more than quadruple the size of its current 2,400-s.f. location on Spring Garden Street and offer meats, wine, beer and cheeses. It also will have meeting space for seminars and special events and a cafe that will have exterior seating near the city’s new greenway.
High Point-based Kirkland Inc.is the front-runner to build the store, the Journal reports.
