Findlay, Ohio-based Needler Enterprises Inc. and its subsidiaries have named its new slate of officers, effective immediately. The biggest shift will be the promotion of Mike Needler Jr. to the position of president and COO of the organization.
Needler, who joined the organization in October 2009, represents the third generation of family leadership in the company’s 48-year history. Prior to joining the organization, Needler worked in corporate lending and financing.
“Michael has proven his ability to lead our organization on a go-forward basis,” said Mike Needler Sr., who will retain the position of CEO and chairman of the board, “I have mentored Michael closely over the past three years and I feel he is up for the challenge of managing and growing our family business.”
The remaining slate of officers include: Eric Anderson, EVP-CMO; Mark Gephart, SVP-GM; and Julie Anderson, secretary/treasurer.
Needler Enterprises Inc. is the parent company to Fresh Encounter Inc., which owns and operates 30 retail grocery stores in western Ohio and eastern Indiana. Operating under the banners of Great Scot, Community Markets and Sack & Save, Fresh Encounter is Ohio’s largest independently-owned retail grocery operator. Fresh Encounter employs 1,100 team members.
