Kroger Marketplace Slated To Open In Gainesville, Ga., In 2014

A Kroger Marketplace store is coming to Gainesville, Ga. The 123,000-s.f. store will anchor a new shopping center, East Holland Market, at the intersection of Jesse Jewell/Limestone Parkway. The complex will offer an additional 20,000 s.f. of retail space. In addition, nine outparcels will be created on both sides of Jesse Jewell Parkway and 26 acres will be made development-ready for additional retail, medical office or multi-family use. Site work has begun and the Kroger is expected to open in spring 2014.

Kroger Marketplace stores are designed as a one-stop shopping destination and are larger than the traditional Kroger footprint. Marketplace formats offer home fashion, bed and bath, kitchen and small appliances, home office and toys. They also are known to include Fred Meyer Jewelers.
