Made in Oklahoma Coalition recently added Gibson Meat Co. to its group of local food companies that process, produce or distribute their products in Oklahoma.

“Adding new companies to the coalition is always exciting,” said Jerry Dyer, president of Made in Oklahoma Coalition. “We are proud to have this new partnership with a company that has such strong Oklahoma pride.”

Gibson Meat Co., located in Lawton, Okla., is a meat and frozen foods provider that serves Oklahoma restaurants. Since 1968, this family-owned company has provided high quality beef, chicken and pork products to Oklahoma restaurants, a news release says.

“We cater many restaurants from mom-and-pop cafes to white tablecloth establishments,” said Tommy Gibson, GM of Gibson Meat Co. “We are extremely excited to work with Made in Oklahoma’s other partnerships to help provide Oklahoma with even more quality products.”

The Made in Oklahoma Coalition promotes brand awareness and consumer loyalty for Oklahoma food and agricultural products through collective marketing for the purpose of increasing sales, maintaining business retention and expanding Oklahoma’s food and agricultural processing sector. It represents more than 40 Oklahoma food and agricultural manufacturers that employ more than 20,000 Oklahomans statewide. The coalition is supported by both private and public funds.
