The Produce Marketing Association (PMA) has hired a new public relations manager. Ashley Boucher joined the organization Jan. 1. Boucher brings experience in business-to-business communications and technical writing to the association’s public relations team.
Boucher is responsible for creating and executing public relations activities supporting PMA member relations, events, and products and services, including the 2013 Fresh Summit International Convention & Exposition slated for Oct. 18-20. Focusing on media relations and member communications, she will help expand the association’s use of social media and multimedia to connect with PMA members. She also will support the association’s issues and crisis management team. She reports to PMA’s Public Relations Director Meg Miller.
“I’m very pleased to have Ashley join our team,” said Miller. “Her business-to-business communications experience gives her solid footing to connect with PMA members about our year-round value.”
Prior to joining PMA, Boucher worked on the public relations team of Schubert Communications, an integrated marketing firm servicing business-to-business clients in the technical, chemical and biochemical industries. Boucher holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Immaculata University in Malvern, Pa., and currently resides in southern New Jersey.
