Giant Food Stores Introduces Di Bruno Bros. Cheese Shop To Central Pa.
Carlisle, Pa.-based Giant Food Stores, in partnership with Philadelphia food icon Di Bruno Bros., has opened a new cheese and specialty food shop for Central Pennsylvania customers. Located within the Giant Super Food Store at 3301 Trindle Rd. in Camp Hill, Di Bruno Bros. Cheese Shop opened for business Jan. 24, with an official Parmigiano Reggiano cracking to mark the occasion.
“We are thrilled to welcome the celebrated Di Bruno Bros. to our Camp Hill Super Store,” said Rick Herring, president of Giant Food Stores. “By partnering with Di Bruno Bros, we’ll be introducing our customers to an amazing variety of high quality, innovative specialty foods and products from Philadelphia’s authentic cheese experts.”
Open from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily, Di Bruno Bros. Cheese Shop features a selection of fine imported foods, offering more than 125 varieties of homemade, national and international cheeses and nearly 60 kinds of cured meats and antipasti. Customers also will find crackers, jams, jellies, oils and sauces. Di Bruno Bros. culinary associates are available to educate customers on cheese selections, product preparation and help them discover meal or snack pairings.
“While we have grown significantly within the Philadelphia market, we are excited to expand our business and the Di Bruno Bros. legacy into Central Pennsylvania,” said Bill Mignucci Jr., president of Di Bruno Bros. “This partnership will allow us to share our spirit of culinary pioneering with Giant customers so that they too can enjoy the vast world of cheese and the numerous accompaniments available to create delicious and interesting pairings every day.”
Di Bruno Bros. was established in 1939 by Danny, Joe and Thomas Di Bruno. The company began as a small grocery store on 9th Street in Philadelphia’s historic Italian Market district, where the Di Bruno Bros. flagship store is still located today.
The Camp Hill Giant marks the fifth retail shop and first in Central Pennsylvania for Di Bruno Bros., which previously was honored with the “Retailer of the Year” award by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade.
