N.J.’s ‘Night Of Distinction’ Will Honor Three Industry Leaders

NJFC

The New Jersey Food Council (NJFC) will host the “Night of Distinction” reception at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Sheraton Meadowlands in East Rutherford, N.J. New to the event this year as part of the evening entertainment is live NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament coverage.

“Since this event is typically held during the frenzy of this college basketball tournament, we thought bringing these two events together would create some excitement for the membership,” said NJFC President Linda Doherty.

Also on the program, NJFC board member and treasurer Mike Rothwell of Pennington Quality Market, Jason Ravitz of Supermarkets of Cherry Hill and Lou Scaduto Jr. of Food Circus Supermarkets will be honored with Industry Achievement awards during the program ceremony. This distinguished class of food industry leaders is being recognized for their meaningful contribution to advance the mission of the food council, achieving significant food business success and having a history of civic service within the New Jersey food community.

“These distinguished leaders have advanced the mission of the food council and are considered industry movers and shakers,” Doherty said. “We are grateful to have the opportunity to honor them with Industry Achievement awards at this showcase NJFC event.”

Representatives from all segments of the food industry will be on hand to celebrate these recognitions and participate in the festivities next month.
