Ahold USA has named Paul Scorza as its chief information officer, effective today. In this role, which will be based in Quincy, Mass., Scorza will oversee all Ahold USA information management functions, with a focus on the development and implementation of systems and business processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, controls and operations across the company. He will report to Paula Price, EVP of finance and CFO.
Scorza joins Ahold USA after more than 30 years with IBM. Beginning as a programmer, Scorza took on various roles of additional responsibility from project manager to director, and VP. He has held three VP positions at IBM including world wide application solutions delivery, world wide transformation executive for the CIO Office and, most recently, world wide sector leader for the IBM Global Account Infrastructure.
“Paul will play a crucial role in supporting the Ahold USA leadership team, helping to modernize our technology tool set and simplify the way we do business to position the company for future growth,” said Price.
