The Wisconsin Grocers Association (WGA) and some of its members were in Madison on Wednesday for the 2013 Grocers in the Capitol Day event.
Dan Schwartzer, deputy commissioner of insurance for the state, discussed Obamacare and what employers, including grocers, need to do to prepare for 2014. WGA members asked dozens of questions and lined up to speak with him after the event. The Shelby Report will have full coverage in its May Midwest issue.
Other speakers included Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Rep. Robin Vos, Senate Majority Leader Sen. Scott Fitzgerald, Sen. Frank Lasee and WGA’s VP for Government Affairs and Communications Michelle Kussow.
WGA members also visited their legislators while they were in Madison.
