Ready Pac’s President/CEO Retiring, Successor Named

Michael Solomon, president and CEO of Ready Pac Foods Inc., has announced his retirement from Ready Pac. Solomon has been with Ready Pac since 2006 and has been president and CEO since 2008. He has led the company through several years of record performance.

“I have decided that now since I have a strong senior executive on board to focus on the operations and financial aspects of the business, and one who complements an already strong management team, the time is right for me to retire from Ready Pac. I look forward to spending more time with my wife and 2½-year-old son.”

Phillip Theodore, who recently joined the company as COO, also will assume the president and CEO responsibilities. Theodore started his career in the retail supermarket business in the early 80s with Wegman’s supermarkets. Since then he has held key executive and board positions with CPG companies with knowledge in both private label and national brand distribution at retail.

Theodore has an MBA from The Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and a bachelor of science in accounting from St. John Fisher College.

“Michael has built a great team at Ready Pac and I am very excited to help lead the team. This company has great employees, innovative products, collaborative distribution partners, and is well positioned for exciting growth”, says Theodore.

The leadership transition is expected to be complete by the end of May.
