Nestlé has asked two dessert chefs to try out its newest product, Butterfinger Bites, in its custom recipe program. Christina Tosi, founder of New York’s Momofuku Milk Bar, and “Top Chef: Just Desserts” contestant Sally Comacho Meuller, will create unique recipes using the new treat.
Butterfinger Bites are a bite-sized version of the classic candy bar, Butterfinger. To celebrate the rollout, the company has started a food truck tour to feature the chefs’ custom creations in parking lots, food festivals and special events across the country.
Food truck stops include: Angie’s Cakes (Houston), B Sweet (Los Angeles), BabyCakes (Chicago), Chunk-n-Chip (Los Angeles), Fairycakes (San Jose), Gourdoughs (Austin), Gypsy Scoops (Dallas), La Bella Torte (New York City), Lil’ Mama’s Delicious Desserts ‘n More (Austin), My Delight Cupcakery (Los Angeles), Mamma Toledo’s (Phoenix), Sweet Box Cupcake (Philadelphia), Sweet Ride (Chicago), Sweet Treats (San Diego,) and Torched Goddess (Phoenix).
In addition, the company also plans to bring back its Simpsons’ character Bart to its advertising efforts.
