The Beaver Dam Piggly Wiggly is planning to expand by nearly 6,000 s.f. The store, located at 810 Park Ave. in Beaver Dam, Wis., will be about 42,000 s.f. after the expansion, which also involves an interior renovation. The project is expected to start this fall and be completed by spring 2014.

Locally owned and operated by Daryl and Brenda Schoenfeld, the remodeled Beaver Dam Piggly Wiggly store will expand the produce and meat departments, including a new service meat case. Additional space also will be gained in the grocery, bakery and deli departments. The store will continue to have fresh-from-the-farm produce, an “in-store” bakery, a full deli department, a fresh meat department offering Certified Angus Beef, Gerber Amish Chicken and Farmland Pork along with a variety of fresh and frozen seafood. In addition, the store will feature a new and expanded full liquor department.

“We are excited that we will be able to offer the community an updated, modern grocery store,” says Daryl Schoenfeld, adding that “our customers are going to love the changes we have planned.”

The Beaver Dam store is supplied by Piggly Wiggly Midwest, a Wisconsin company, which is headquartered in Sheboygan.
