Mikawaya, the creator of Mochi Ice Cream, has launched Mikawaya Exottics, a new line of premium, gourmet ice cream.
Expanding on the success of its Mikawaya Mochi Ice Cream, the company says the Mikawaya Exottics brand brings in a new line of frozen products inspired by authentic Asian cuisine and fruits.
“We want to offer our loyal consumers the traditional taste of home in our selected flavor lineup of authentic Asian-influenced flavors,” said Mikawaya USA President Joel Friedman.
Mikawaya Exottics Ice Cream is offered in pints, ice cream bars, ice cream sandwiches and 3.6-oz cups. For foodservice, Mikawaya Exottics can be purchased in 5-qt. pails and 3-gal. tubs. The line includes 14 Asian-influenced flavors, including Black Sesame, Green Tea Matcha, Lychee, Taro and Yuzu Sorbet. The line of Mikawaya ice cream will be available in local Asian markets and restaurants.
