Vallarta Supermarkets Donating $54K, Time To Hospital For Three Kings Day

Vallarta Supermarkets is celebrating the 2nd annual Three Kings Day (Dia de Reyes) with patients, families and staff at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles today. Vallarta staff is joining in the festivities by dressing as the Three Kings and bringing toys for patients. Additionally, the grocer is bringing its traditional Rosca de Reyes (traditional sweet bread in the shape of a crown) for staff to enjoy.

The Three Kings celebration at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is part of Vallarta Supermarkets’ commitment to the community. In 2013, the grocer raised more than $165,000 for Children’s Miracle Network during the annual in-store fundraiser. Of this, $54,000 will go to support Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is a city landmark and provides more than 104,000 children with pediatric healthcare on an annual basis.

Founded in 1985 by Enrique Gonzalez Sr., Vallarta Supermarkets is a full-service independent grocery chain with 42 locations throughout California.
