Russ’s Lincoln Wine & Food Experience Raises Record Amount

Lincoln Wine & Food Experience

Supporters of the Lincoln Community Playhouse in Nebraska raised a record $43,550.56 at last month’s 2014 Lincoln Wine & Food Experience. The event, presented by Russ’s Market, has now raised more than $200,000 total for the playhouse in its six years of existence. Nearly 900 people attended this year’s event held at Embassy Suites. The fundraising total includes ticket sales and proceeds from a silent auction.

“The Lincoln Wine & Food Experience is a success because of the people in our community who support it,” said Pat Raybould, president of B&R Stores Inc. “Russ’s Market is grateful for the opportunity to help the Lincoln Community Playhouse continue to provide outstanding productions and educational programs.”

B&R Stores Inc., based in Lincoln, Neb., is employee owned and celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The company has four store concepts—Russ’s Market, Super Saver, Save Best Foods and Grand Central Apple Market—located in seven cities across Nebraska and Iowa.
