The Produce Mom Honored As Fruits & Veggies—More Matters Industry Champ

The Produce Mom Lori Taylor

The Produce Mom, Lori Taylor, has been recognized by the Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) as a Fruits & Veggies—More Matters Industry Champion. Each year, PBH recognizes the country’s top advocates of the produce industry for their contribution to public health. Award recipients must be members of PBH and leaders in the produce industry. The chosen honorees were formally recognized at a special conference in Arizona on Tuesday.

“PBH is pleased to recognize such a diverse group of companies from the fruit and vegetable industry for their respective efforts to increase fruit and vegetable education, awareness and consumption, which helps to strengthen our collective work toward a healthier America,” said registered dietitian Elizabeth Pivonka, Ph.D., president and CEO of PBH.

PBH is a nonprofit fruit and vegetable education foundation that works to encourage Americans to eat more fruits and vegetables through the “Fruit & Veggies—More Matters” national education initiative.

“The Produce Mom and PBH share a very similar goal—to encourage people to eat more fruits and veggies. It means so much to me to be honored as a Fruits & Veggies—More Matters Industry Champion,” said Taylor, who resides in Indianapolis, Ind.
