Food industry trade show Sabor Latino, to be held May 13-14 at the Pasadena Convention Center in California, will bring together powerful forces in Hispanic food retail—grocer Northgate Gonzalez Markets and restaurant Porto’s Bakery and Cafe.
A “Titans of the Latino Food Industry” presentation will include a special introduction highlighting a new study on the Hispanic independent retail grocery channel by Isabel Valdes, chairperson of the Center for Multicultural Science, from 12:30-2 p.m. May 14. Former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will kick off the luncheon program and talk about the importance of the Latino food industry. The show will feature exhibits, educational sessions and cooking demonstrations with top chefs from Baja and Southern California.
Sabor Latino provides a platform for grocers, restaurateurs, schools, hotels, hospitals and foodservice professionals to engage with food suppliers and manufacturers wishing to tap and grow in the lucrative Hispanic market.
Sabor Latino is presented by Wells Fargo Bank. Participating companies include: Happy Family Brands (organic baby food), Beyond Meat (vegan plant protein) Flatout, Goya Foods, Ducal, Veggie Mama, Los Angeles Produce Market Association, Food Industry Business Roundtable, Proméxico and dozens of others. The trade show is open to anyone in the food industry.
