Lockard Cos. says it has finalized the sale of a 5.34-acre parcel of land located in the Teasley Town Square shopping center in Denton, Texas, to Walmart Stores Inc. A new Walmart Neighborhood Market, which is less than one-quarter the size of an average Walmart Supercenter, will be located at the southwest corner of Teasley Lane and Ryan Road.
The 41,179-s.f. store builds upon the partnership Lockard says it has enjoyed with Walmart.
“We are excited to welcome the new Denton Walmart Neighborhood Market to the shops at Teasley Town Square,” said David Wilson, CCIM, EVP for Lockard. “Walmart works hard to create strong ties to the community and will provide hundreds of new jobs as well as economic opportunity for Denton and the surrounding area.”
Teasley Town Square is a 13.5-acre shopping center and has spaces available for lease in the retail center next to Walmart, and outparcels available for sale, build-to-suit or lease.
