NFRA Names New Member Communications Coordinator

NFRA's Natalie Markle

The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) has appointed Natalie Markle to the newly created position of member communications coordinator. Markle is responsible for marketing member resources and events, developing and maintaining an online and social media presence for members and engaging members in NFRA’s PR and promotion efforts. In 2013, NFRA partnered with Edelman PR agency to implement a long-term PR campaign to communicate the benefits of frozen and refrigerated foods to the consumer, necessitating an increase in staff.

“We’re eager to tap into Natalie’s marketing experience to help us engage our members in new ways,” says Julie Henderson, NFRA’s VP of communications. “Natalie brings new talents and a fresh perspective to the table as we expand our communication efforts on behalf of the industry.”

Markle, a native of the York, Pa., area, graduated in May 2013 from Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa., with a bachelor of science degree in marketing with a concentration in advertising. While attending Cabrini, Markle was inducted as a member to the National Honor Society for Business, Management and Administration. She also worked for the college’s Health Services Center during all four years where she assisted with campus events, newsletters, bulletin boards and student recruitment.

Prior to NFRA, Markle worked for two engineering firms as a marketing assistant. She was responsible for website updates, proposal submissions, database organization and project leads. Along with her marketing positions, Markle worked as a front-end supervisor at Target, where she enhanced her managerial and customer service skills. In her free time, Markle enjoys traveling, crafting, baking and cooking. She believes that her love of dining and passion for creating visually appealing food will be an asset in her role at NFRA.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to take on and excel in this new role,” says Markle. “I look forward to utilizing my knowledge of marketing and communications and hope to be a huge asset to the NFRA team.”
