Hundreds of SpartanNash associates located in the company’s Edina, Minn., offices plan to hit the streets Tuesday to assist 14 area nonprofit and community service organizations provide services to those in need. SpartanNash has been hosting this “Helping Hands in the Community” day since 2011 and, to date, associates have volunteered 4,084 hours. This year the goal is to top 5,000 hours.

In addition to SpartanNash donating manpower for projects ranging from home repairs to food bank stocking, food service and delivery, mentoring and more, SpartanNash’s NFC Foundation based in Minneapolis has provided each organization grant funding over the past several years. Collectively, the foundation has gifted more than $2.2 million to these organizations.
