Growth Brings Staff Changes To Nolan Ryan All-Natural Beef

Nolan Ryan All-Natural Beef, owned by baseball Hall of Famer and Texas rancher Nolan Ryan and his ranching partners, has made several staff changes that the company said were brought about by annual sales that have doubled in back-to-back years.

“The growth of our brand has been nothing short of amazing,” said Ronnie Wallace, chairman of the board. “To keep that trajectory, we will continue to expand our retail and foodservice distribution beyond Texas, and to do that, we need to make sure we have the right people in place to help develop Nolan Ryan Beef into a dynamic national brand.”

The company markets the Nolan Ryan Grass Fed Beef, Nolan Ryan Guaranteed Tender and Nolan Ryan Texas Beef lines.

Don Mason, formerly VP of sales and marketing, has been named president and CEO, taking over the responsibilities formerly held by Charlie Bradbury.

“Don has an incredible track record of building national brands,” Wallace said. “As the co-founder and CEO of Empire Meats of Houston Inc., Don has what it takes to help lead Nolan Ryan Beef to the next level. The board and I greatly appreciate Charlie’s contribution to this company. He’s helped create a strong foundation upon which we can build.”

In his new role, Mason will focus his efforts on further expanding the retail and foodservice segments in key expansion markets.

Additionally, Ken Henk has been promoted to EVP overseeing all operations. Henk is an industry veteran with more than 40 years of experience. Before joining Nolan Ryan Beef, Henk served as meat merchandiser for the Kroger Southwest Division and for Fry’s Foods in Arizona, a division of The Kroger Co.

The board also announced that Paul Stroade has been promoted from controller to CFO.

In addition, Chris Meighen will become director of sales. Meighen has spent the past nine years developing the company’s growing foodservice business.

Also, Nichole Francis has been promoted from marketing and communications coordinator to director of marketing and communications.

“These changes will help us stay focused on managing the growth of the Nolan Ryan Beef brand from an operations, marketing and sales perspective. I couldn’t be more proud of this team and am incredibly excited about the future of our company,” Wallace said.
