Ancient Harvest is serving up ancient grains for breakfast with the debut of its line of hot cereals.
Featuring a blend of quinoa, millet, amaranth and gluten-free rolled oats, the new hot cereal line, like all Ancient Harvest products, is organic (non-GMO) and gluten-free. Prepared by adding water and heating in a microwave or cooking on a stovetop, the new line comes in a box of six packets and is available in five flavors, including Apple Cinnamon, Banana and Brown Sugar, Maple Morning, Honey Vanilla Spice and Traditional. MSRP $6.99
“One of our goals has always been to provide a wide variety of great-tasting meal options for consumers who have diet restrictions or are looking for healthier options, including at breakfast,” said Blake Waltrip, CEO of Boulder, Colo.-based Ancient Harvest. “Many of our consumers have been using our quinoa and quinoa flakes to incorporate ancient grains into their morning routine for years, so we are happy to now be offering a quick and nutritious complete breakfast option.”
Ancient Harvest hot cereals will arrive at retailers this winter. All other Ancient Harvest products are available in natural food stores and supermarkets nationwide.
