For the 18th consecutive year, Northgate Gonzalez Market will give away a toy to any boy or girl who comes to a Northgate store between 1 and 5 p.m. today. Free toys will be given while supplies last. Santa Claus also will be on hand to give out toys and pose for photos with each child at each of the 40 Northgate stores in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties. His elves and assistants, recruited from the ranks of Northgate employees, will lend a hand as well.
“The toy giveaway is a special tradition for Northgate and our customers,” said Oscar Gonzalez, co-president of Anaheim-based Northgate Gonzalez Market. “For some of these children, the toy they receive at Northgate may be the only one under the Christmas tree. This is a modest way for us to thank our customers for their ongoing loyalty and support.”
Northgate Gonzalez Market suppliers 7Up, Unilever and Coca-Cola, along with other packaged good suppliers/partners, also are providing support for this year’s toy giveaway. The toy giveaway has become long-standing tradition with customers, Northgate employees and vendors as they join together in a festive celebration of the Christmas season.
