Central Grocers has chosen ReposiTrak, provider of compliance management and track-and-trace solutions for food safety exclusively endorsed by the Food Marketing Institute and Retailer Owned Food Distributors and Associates (ROFDA), to manage its food safety-related risk.
“The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulations will require us to both manage and store thousands of vendor documents,” said Ken Nemeth, president and CEO of Central Grocers. “We chose the ReposiTrak solution for its automated review of our documents. The dashboards and alerts for missing, inaccurate or expired documents will enable one person to manage the compliance of our FSMA-required documentation.”
Powered by Park City Group’s technology, the ReposiTrak platform helps manage regulatory, financial and brand risk associated with issues of food safety in the global food supply chain. The platform consists of two systems. The compliance management system not only receives, stores and shares documentation, but also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing, expired or inaccurate documents. The track-and-trace system quickly identifies the supply chain path taken by a product in the event of a product recall. It can reduce the risk in the supply chain by identifying backward-chaining sources and forward-chaining recipients of products in near real time.
