Geidel’s Piggly Wiggly in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, will host a grand reopening celebration Wednesday, March 11. The store at 940 Fond du Lac Avenue recently completed a 9,000-s.f. addition, bringing the store to 36,000 s.f. Additionally, the store’s interior was renovated.
Locally operated by fifth-generation owner Mike Geidel, the Kewaskum Piggly Wiggly store expanded every department and, in doing so, added more than 3,000 new items. The store will continue to have fresh-from-the farm produce, an “in-store” bakery, a full-service deli department, a fresh meat department offering Certified Angus Beef, Gerber Amish Chicken, Farmland Prime Pork as well as fresh and frozen seafood, plus a full liquor department.
“I am confident our customers are going to love the changes we made,” said Geidel. “We are now able to offer a greater variety of products while maintaining our personalized customer service.”
The Geidel family has operated grocery stores in Kewaskum since 1876. The store is supplied by Sheboygan-based Piggly Wiggly Midwest.
