While global food giant Rich Products Corp. continues executing its aggressive worldwide growth strategy, the company says it also has ramped up its mission to provide new, innovative, on-trend products and solutions to customers thanks to the recent opening of the $18.5 million, 84,000-s.f. “Innovation Center and Atrium @ Rich’s.”

As part of Rich’s goal to be the “Trusted First Choice” for its customers, the new state-of-the-art Innovation Center, located at Rich’s world headquarters in Buffalo, New York, equips associates with technology for sharing insights, exploring new product opportunities, showcasing items for customers and supporting the company’s global network of plants and R&D facilities.

With the Innovation Center, Rich’s says it is poised for new levels of global growth. The business and social complex features a creative physical design for enhanced collaboration and cutting-edge meeting functionality.

The center features broadcast-enabled presentation and learning areas and a modern test kitchen equipped with advanced communications technologies. Its operations provide improved speed and flexibility for teams from Rich’s sales, marketing, research and development, and culinary functions to drive innovation and attack problem-solving together with customers. The atrium centerpiece also serves as an event space for the Buffalo community.

Additional plans for the Innovation Center complex include a redesigned research and development lab; an enhanced, world-class sensory evaluation center; and a global video library of food product information that can be accessed from anywhere electronically.

With $3.3 billion in annual sales, Rich’s says it is known throughout the industry for its innovation, dating back to the invention in 1945 of Rich’s Whip Topping. This year, the company—which now operates 34 plants around the world—is celebrating 70 years of innovation that have made it a leading supplier to the food service, in-store bakery and deli and retail marketplaces.
