Big Y Foods in Springfield, Massachusetts, has completed renovations of its World Class Market in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. This $2.25 million project began last February and included major renovations in all areas of the 56,768-s.f. store, including many new additions in response to changing customer needs. ShopRite of Keasbey, New Jersey, plans to open its newest store in Burlington, New Jersey, on May 15. The new 90,000-s.f. store will be operated by Eickhoff’s Supermarkets, a family business that also owns four ShopRite stores in Burlington County. The opening brings an additional 175 jobs to the area…

Walgreens will help host the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl June 2-4 at Boston City Hall Plaza. Major ice cream and frozen yogurt companies are expected to attend.
