Hy-Vee and North Memorial Health Care on Thursday announced plans to open walk-in medical clinics at the two new Hy-Vee stores that will open in the Twin Cities later this month. Hy-Vee customers will have access to fast, convenient medical care for a wide array of primary healthcare services provided by North Memorial physician assistants and nurses at the new Hy-Vee stores in Oakdale and New Hope.

“We are excited to bring together these two respected brands to offer easy access to affordable and convenient care,” Kelly Macken-Marble, North Memorial Health Care president of population health and ambulatory services. “This is a natural partnership since both Hy-Vee and North Memorial are focused on innovative ways that make getting and staying healthy easier. These two walk-in clinics are another way that North Memorial is expanding services that lead to better health.”

For decades, Hy-Vee has focused on helping customers live healthier lifestyles through its in-store dietitians and pharmacists, and expansive HealthMarket sections. In 2014, the Iowa-based supermarket chain announced it would bring these offerings to the Twin Cities through an expansion plan that will add four to five new stores each year over the next several years.

“Hy-Vee’s top priority is taking care of its customers. With the North Memorial Express Clinics in our new Oakdale and New Hope stores, our customers will not only have access to our in-store dietitians and pharmacists, but now they will be able to seek health, wellness and preventive care services all in one stop,” said Andy McCann, Hy-Vee’s EVP, chief administrative officer and vice chairman. “We are excited to partner with North Memorial so that we can continue to help our customers lead happier, healthier lives.”

The North Memorial Express Clinics will offer care for a number of common illnesses such as strep throat, ear infections and influenza. In addition, primary care providers will provide wellness tests and screenings, such as sport physicals, and guests can receive all of their vaccines in these locations. The express clinics will accept a broad range of health insurance plans and provide access to North Memorial’s network of primary care clinics.
