McDonald’s Revamps Value Meal, And More…

McDonald’s has redone its value menu in an attempt to bring back consumers. The redesigned discount menu will debut on Jan. 4, 2016. The new McPick 2 menu will offer only four choices: small French fries, mozzarella sticks, McChicken sandwich and the McDouble sandwich. Customers can order two of those items for $2. The McPick menu will be on the board for at least five weeks McDonald’s isn’t the only fast-food chain struggling to come up with a value menu that resonates with consumers. Wendy’s recently announced it had finally discovered the sweet spot: bundled meals between $4 and $6. Wendy’s currently offers one deal, the 4 for $4, which includes a junior bacon cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, beverage and fries. In addition, Burger King is bringing back a former deal, 10 chicken nuggets for $1.49…

Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants has named Diana LaRocca chief marketing officer, promoting her from her position as VP of marketing. Dickey’s, the nation’s largest barbecue chain, has more than 520 locations in 43 states…
