Retailer Owned Food Distributors & Associates (ROFDA) has made appointments to its ROFDA Advisory Council (RAC). The RAC is made up of seven ROFDA associates/suppliers. Appointments are confirmed by ROFDA Chairman Neal Berube, president and CEO of Associated Food Stores; the incoming RAC chairman; and the ROFDA executive staff.

Six RAC members serve concurrent two-year terms with the ROFDA chairman. The immediate past chairman continues a final two-year term and serves to provide continuity from the previous council. The purpose of the RAC is to provide ROFDA leadership with input, information and feedback representing the interests of ROFDA’s associates and suppliers in support of ROFDA’s mission.

Appointments to the ROFDA Advisory Council include:

• Mike Ridenour, head of industry relations, The Kraft Heinz Co. (RAC chairman)

• Jon Ambrose, co-founder and COO, Rosie

• Jesse Garcia, SVP of sales and chief customer officer, Post Consumer Brands

• Michele Koci, director of sales, First Data

• Ric Larsen, president/CEO, DeJarnett Sales

• Jim Lukens, GM, Media Solutions Corp.

• Denny Belcastro, VP of industry and customer collaboration, Kimberly Clark (immediate past chairman)

“We are extremely pleased that the above mentioned associate members have accepted the invitation to participate in the RAC. It is important that ROFDA understands and meets the needs of those who have been so supportive of our mission. The council is one mechanism that will give us feedback on how we can work together in accomplishing meaningful goals and being more inclusive. It is my hope that during my tenure as chairman that the board of directors and members of the RAC can collaborate and develop strategies that will result in increased success for all involved by developing best practices through aggregation, innovation and differentiation,” said Berube.

Added Francis Cameron, president and CEO of ROFDA, “The ROFDA Advisory Council is a critical part of ROFDA. Each person appointed to the council provides their unique skills and knowledge for the betterment of the independent grocers we serve. We are very grateful to each of them for accepting this important role.”
