Pepsi Beverages Co. partnered with Des Moines, Iowa-based Fareway Stores to present a $5,000 donation to Variety—the Children’s Charity. Funds were raised during Pepsi’s recent Cases for Kids promotion held at Fareway locations.
“We’re very proud to partner with Fareway and make this donation to Variety,” said Pepsi Beverages Co. GM Market Director Andy Dougherty. “We have a heartfelt commitment to improve the lives at at-risk, special needs and underprivileged children.”
Proceeds will provide funding to more than 90 charities throughout Iowa for capital projects, essential medical equipment, special programming and transportation. Variety is a nonprofit organization, and donations are tax deductible.
“Pepsi Beverages Co.’s generous support is a testament to their commitment to provide for children in need,” said Fareway CEO Reynolds W. Cramer. “We appreciate the opportunity to work with such a giving vendor partner on this in-store promotion.”

Variety says it is dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged, at-risk and special needs children throughout Iowa. Funding is provided to programs and initiatives that directly impact the well being of children in the community.
