In addition, the Portland City Council in Oregon approved tasking its Health and Human Services Committee to draft a similar proposal. Retailer registration continues for the 30th annual trade show and convention of the New York Association of Convenience Stores (NYACS). The event also will mark the 30th anniversary of NYACS itself, co-founded in 1986 by Dick Warrender, John MacDougall and Bob Seng. The trade show, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. May 12, will feature a special exhibit of beverages, snacks and other convenience store products that are “Made in New York.” Other convention activities include a golf tournament and welcome party on May 11 and the closing chairman’s banquet on May 12 that will feature the induction of Peter Tamburro, Kevin Kenyon and Josh Altman into the New York Convenience Store Hall of Fame…
