New NACS-Sponsored Program Offers Background Screening For Retailers, And More…

The National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) has partnered with RedTail to offer the NACS Background Check Program. The program incorporates screening services from SecurTest and patented iReviewNow technology. Today, RedTail and SecurTest solutions are used by many federal, state and local government agencies along with commercial employers and retailers. In 2015, the industry turnover rate for convenience store sales associates was 95 percent, according to NACS State of the Industry data. “It’s no surprise that hiring and retaining high performing employees is a serious challenge for the industry,” said Doug Spencer, NACS director of products and services. “One of the best ways to prevent turnover is to make the right hire—and that starts with a reputable, comprehensive background check.” NACS members receive a special discounted rate…

This year’s edition of the NACS Ideas 2 Go program will debut during a NACS Show general session, showcasing innovative ideas and best practices for convenience store and fuel retailers across the United States and Ireland. This year’s lineup highlights nine stores from Miami to St. Louis to Dublin and beyond, and NACS Show attendees will have the opportunity to learn about their pioneering best practices on Thursday, Oct. 20. The NACS Show will take place Oct. 18–21 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
