A new Kroger Marketplace store in Powell, Tennessee, hosted a grand opening Wednesday. The 124,000-s.f. unit is located at 234 East Emory Road and marks the fifth Kroger Marketplace store in the greater Knoxville area.
The store includes traditional groceries, apparel, home décor, bed and bath items and a toy department. It also features The Bistro with freshly prepared meals, including a Build Your Own Burrito Bar, Murray’s Cheese Shoppe, salad bar, fresh sushi, service meat and seafood, Starbucks, a large selection of wine, floral shop, pet center, pharmacy with drive-thru service and The Little Clinic, which provides healthcare for the whole family age 1 and up with no appointment needed. The Powell Marketplace also boasts a Kroger Fuel Center. In addition, beginning Sept. 21, the store will offer ClickList, Kroger’s online ordering service.
The Kroger Marketplace in Powell, managed by Molly Stiles, has created an estimated 375 jobs and is part of the grocer’s Nashville Division, which operates 94 stores and 80 fuel centers in Middle and East Tennessee, southern Kentucky and North Alabama.
