KB Holding, the Parsippany, New Jersey-based parent company of Kings Food Markets and Balducci’s, has appointed Joel Chace VP of real estate. Judy Spires, president and CEO of KB Holding Inc., said, “The expansion of our Kings and Balducci’s brands remains a top priority for us, and Joel will play a significant role in helping us to build, buy and better our stores. Jerry Larsson, JOH’s VP of grocery, was awarded the Helping Hands Award by the New England Food Foundation (NEFF), a nonprofit organization helping children in need. Larsson is known for his work as co-leader of the NEFF Thanksgiving Holiday Caravan, an annual November event providing food and non-food items to 80-plus food pantries in New England. Price Chopper and Market 32 customers and teammates from throughout the company’s six-state footprint helped raise $23,679 during a month-long fundraising campaign for United Way, a national organization with local offices that identify and work to make measurable changes in communities in the areas of education, income and health. This effort supplements the chain’s annual internal, company-supported campaign to raise funds for the United Way.
