Weis Markets Launches Certified Angus Beef Program

Weis Markets has introduced a new line of Certified Angus Beef products to all its 171 Weis Markets stores in its five-state service area of Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia.

Angus Beef is known for its 10 exacting standards designed to ensure flavor, juiciness and tenderness in the beef.

Created by a group of family ranchers in 1978, Certified Angus Beef is the original brand of premium beef. Some of the stringent standards include marbling and maturity, consistent sizing, quality appearance and tenderness.

John Grimes, Weis Markets VP of meat, deli and seafood, said, “Weis shoppers will appreciate the unrivaled flavor of the premium cuts of meat due to the generous marbling in every piece.”
