Union Square Hospitality Group Expands Paid Parental Leave, And More…

The Union Square Hospitality Group, a New York City 13-unit restaurant company headed by Danny Meyer, has a new paid parental policy. Starting in 2017, all full-time employees with more than one year of employment will be offered 100 percent of their base wages for the first week after their child is born or adopted. After that, all employees will be offered 60 percent of base wages for the next four weeks. The House of Representatives has passed a bill to delay the Department of Labor’s overtime regulation by six months. Dunkin’ Donuts will launch a line of Dunkin’ Donuts branded ready-to-drink coffee beverages in the U.S. in early 2017. The Coca-Cola Co. will manufacture the product according to Dunkin’ Donuts’ specifications, including using high-quality Arabica coffee blend. Coca-Cola’s extensive network of bottling partners will sell and distribute the product, which will include real milk and sugar in a variety of flavors.
