Aldi Coming To Orange Park, Florida, Development

Aldi is set to open a store in Orange Park, Florida, at Bolton Plaza, according to Kite Realty Group Trust.

The grocer has signed a ground lease for 19,842 s.f., and construction on the pad is expected to begin during the first half of this year.

Bolton Plaza is part of Kite’s “redevelopment, repurpose and reposition” initiative. A 22,000-s.f. Marshalls recently opened, joining several existing anchors, including L.A. Fitness and Academy Sports.

Orange Park is a suburb of Jacksonville.

Aldi currently has four stores in the area—two in Jacksonville, one in St. Augustine and one in Middleburg, according to its website.

Aldi operates more than 1,600 U.S. stores in 35 states and plans to have nearly 2,000 by the end of 2018.
