NYACS’ Two-Day Trade Show And Convention Gets Under Way May 10

With the theme of “All Aboard the NYACS Express to C-store Success,” the 31st annual New York Association of Convenience Stores Trade Show and Convention will be held May 10-11 in Syracuse.

The trade show itself will be May 11 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Oncenter.  The trade show will offer exhibits from more than 100 Northeast suppliers, service providers and equipment dealers, as well as cash prize drawings throughout the day totaling $1,000.

Other convention activities include a golf tournament and welcome party on May 10 and the closing Chairman’s Banquet on May 11, featuring the induction of Mike Deuser and Larry Bull into the New York Convenience Store Hall of Fame.

Five free educational workshops for retailers will be offered on topics ranging from foodservice to managing store-level employees to store design concepts.

Throughout the trade show, every retail attendee will be given a free ticket to enter the random cash drawings.

In addition, a “Pick a Prize” auction will be conducted, with attendees dropping their tickets into boxes to win the prize(s) of their choice, ranging from an Xbox One to a mini countertop fridge to a Jim Kelly autographed jersey. Each retail attendee automatically gets one free ticket for the auction, and additional tickets will be offered for sale.

NYACS member and non-member owners, operators and managers of convenience stores, mini marts, gas stations, delis, truck stops, grocery stores, college stores and other retail formats are invited to participate. The full schedule, directions, and online registration can be found here.
