Asked about Lidl’s plans to expand in markets outside the eastern U.S., Ebeier said, “We are very focused on getting our stores up and running along the East Coast, and that includes in Georgia where our first store in the state (Augusta) will be opening on Sept. 14.”
Newspaper reports have indicated Ohio as a market where the company is assessing store sites.
The company’s first Delaware store, which was part of the last group that opened, is located in Middletown, at 359 Auto Park Drive.
