Florida-based Publix Super Markets has teamed up with United Way organizations, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Star 94 FM, 92.9 dave fm, V-103 FM, 106.7 FM and Kicks 101.5 FM to collect school supplies through the School Tools for Cool Kids program.
Customers are encouraged to stop by their neighborhood Publix from July 18-Aug. 14 to purchase and/or drop off school supplies in School Tools bins .
“We encourage customers to donate school supplies to help Metro Atlanta’s children begin the school year on a level playing field,” said Brenda Reid, media and community relations manager for Publix Super Markets in a press release. “All school supplies are needed, especially notebook paper, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, folders, spiral notebooks and rulers.”
Twenty-one school systems will participate in this year’s School Tools for Cool Kids campaign include the following: Atlanta City, Butts, Carroll, Carrollton City, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Decatur City, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Marietta City, Newton, Paulding, Rockdale and Walton City.
