Ill. Beer Distributor Vitale Named Chair Of ‘Next Generation’ Group

Adam Vitale

National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) Chairman Steve Lytle has announced that Adam Vitale, president of G&M Distributors Inc. of Galesburg, Ill., has been appointed to serve as the chairman of NBWA’s “Next Generation” young professionals group.

The Next Generation group was established in 2011 to bring future leaders together to learn more about the beer distribution industry, to get more involved with the association and to network with beer distributors from all areas of the country representing all brands.

“Having grown up in the beer distribution industry, and running a distributorship today, Adam has a great pulse on what it takes to run an independent, family business and the challenges they face preparing for the future,” said NBWA President Craig Purser. “Adam brings so much energy to the association and the Next Generation program. It will be exciting to see the group grow and flourish under his leadership.”

An active member of the Galesburg community, Vitale has served on the board of directors of OSF St. Mary Medical Center and The Taste of Galesburg Committee. He also serves as a region director to the Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois and as a board member of the National Beer Wholesalers Association.

Vitale is a 2001 graduate of the University of Delaware and obtained his Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing from the Graziadio School of Business Management at Pepperdine University in 2007.

The Next Generation group will meet next at NBWA’s 75th Annual Convention on Oct. 14-17 in San Diego, Calif.

The NBWA represents the interests of America’s 3,300 licensed, independent beer distributor operations in every state, congressional district and media market across the country. Beer distributors are committed to ensuring alcohol is provided safely and responsibly to consumers of legal drinking age through the three-tier, state-based system of alcohol regulation and distribution.
