A year after starting the integration process at BI-LO Holding, it is nearly complete, the Jacksonville Business Journal reports. A new executive team is in place and preparing the company for growth again.
• Randall Onstead, who is the president and CEO of the combined company, began serving on BI-LO’s board of directors in 2008. He also served as interim CEO of the company in 2008 and started serving as chairman of the board in 2009. Onstead started his career at Randalls Food Markets Inc. in 1978, eventually serving as chairman, president and CEO of the company from 1996-1999.
• Mark Prestidge, the EVP and COO, was last the president of the Delta region for The Kroger Co. Prestidge, however, spent much of his career at Tom Thumb, a Texas-based grocery store chain that was part of Randalls. He eventually served as president of Randalls.
• Brian Carney, the EVP and CFO, joined BI-LO in 2005 as EVP and CFO. Carney also has CFO experience at Jo-Ann Stores and Revco D.S. Inc. and experience at the public accounting firm Arthur Andersen & Co.
• Larry Stablein, the EVP and chief merchandising officer, served as a board member of BI-LO before the merger. He began his career at The Jewel Osco grocery chain in 1980 and also has experience at Albertsons and Loblaw Companies Ltd.
