Winn-Dixie Opening New Birmingham Store On Wednesday

A new 54,000-s.f. Winn-Dixie store will open at Inverness Corners in Birmingham on Wednesday, according to the Birmingham Business Journal.

“The amenities in our new store offer a customized experience tailored to the Inverness community,” said Tim Flavin, Montgomery region VP for Winn-Dixie. “We have listened to our neighbors and are excited to offer a convenient shopping experience with items they want and need, exceptional service and the freshest products at the right price.”

A few of the features of the new Winn-Dixie store include a wood-burning rotisserie, Wi-Fi cafe with complimentary coffee, cheese shop staffed with a cheese steward, seafood department with sushi chef and made-to-order cakes in the bakery.

The new store joins more than 10 Winn-Dixie locations in the Birmingham area. Winn-Dixie is owned by parent company Bi-Lo Holdings LLC, which operates more than 680 grocery stores across the Southeast.
