Tribe Rolls Out New Farmer’s Market Line Of Hummus

Tribe Hummus

Tribe is launching its Farmer’s Market line, a collection of hummus flavors inspired by fresh tastes and vibrant colors of the farmer’s market.

The Farmer’s Market line is a permanent extension of the brand’s flavor portfolio. The line is initially rolling out with three 8-oz. flavors: Harvest Carrot & Ginger, Cucumber Tzatziki and Vine Ripened Tomato & Basil.

• Harvest Carrot & Ginger is a blend of carrots and ginger, creating an orange hue, topped off with a dollop of cilantro, coriander and parsley. The ginger, cilantro and coriander bring a bit of a spice to the flavor palate; meanwhile, the carrots and parsley balance out the bold blend. This combination is best served stirred and pairs well with baby carrots, bell peppers and pita chips.

• Cucumber Tzatziki captures two garden-grown favorites in one bowl—cucumber and dill. Tribe combines its Classic hummus with cucumbers, pieces of which can be found throughout the blend, along with dill, for a light and mildly tangy flavor. This blend is then topped with more dill. This hummus is versatile and can be served as a dip with most any raw vegetables, especially cucumbers and tomatoes, but it also lends itself readily to more filling foods like warm pita bread and falafel.

• Vine Ripened Tomato & Basil is a new version of Tribe’s Sundried Tomato and Basil flavor. The new version features more vine-ripened tomatoes and basil, blended with hummus, and topped off with a basil tapenade. Pieces of tomato and basil can be readily seen, scooped and tasted throughout the bowl. The tomato flavor pairs well with crusty bread or a fresh crostini.

“Our consumers are big fans of farmer’s markets, which makes this new line of inspired hummus incredibly exciting,” said Adam Carr, CEO of Tribe Mediterranean Foods. “By capturing the fresh tastes and vibrant colors of the farm stand, blending into our beloved hummus and bringing it to local grocery aisles, we’ve really created a unique recipe for success.”

Like all of Tribe’s 17 flavors, those in the Farmer’s Market line are gluten free, kosher certified, vegan friendly and free of artificial flavors, cholesterol, hydrogenated oils and high-fructose corn syrup. The three new Farmer’s Market flavors are beginning to appear on shelves at fine grocery stores nationwide this month with plans to roll out new flavors seasonally. The suggested retail price of the 8-oz. bowls is $3.49.
