As previously announced, Roche Bros.’ will close Sudbury Farms store at 300 North Main Street in Randolph, Massachusetts, by no later than Jan. 16. Beginning Jan. 8, all existing store inventory is 20 percent off with the exclusion of lottery tickets and cigarettes. Randolph store associates have been offered positions in other store locations. The store has served the Randolph area for 32 years. Customers are encouraged to shop at nearby Roche Bros.’ stores in Easton and Quincy or online at RocheBros.com

Supervalu has filed registration forms with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a possible spinoff of its Save-A-Lot business into a stand-alone public company…

Dole will be the host sponsor of the New England Produce Council (NEPC) dinner on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Greater Boston Food Bank, 70 South Bay Avenue, in Boston. The program begins at 6 p.m. The NEPC also announced future events, including the annual dinner dance on Feb. 6 at the World Trade Center in Boston and the NEPC Produce, Floral and Foodservice Expo, Sept. 21-23, at the Ocean Edge and Resort in Brewster, Massachusetts.
